I was writing a blog on the NoMAD neighborhood for my blog, MywalkinManhattan.com and I was in the need of a snack because I did not have time for lunch. I came across the sign at Fresh Pizza and Deli at 876 Sixth Avenue for a $1.00 slice of pizza and I had to go in and try it. What a nice surprise.

I ordinarily don’t put much stock into a 99 cent slice place because the pizza is usually passable, somewhat soggy with no flavor and barely cooked on the bottom but here it was different.
